Boston Red Sox<\/a> rising superstar Roman Anthony didn’t waste any time on Opening Day.<\/p>\n

In Boston’s 3-0 win at the Cincinnati Reds<\/a>, Anthony went 3-for-4 with three singles and also worked a walk.<\/p>\n

That made him just the 14th 21-year old in baseball history to reach base four times on Opening Day, according to Alex Speier of the Boston Globe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of those first 13 to do it before Anthony, nine are in the Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

It’s an astounding list of company for Anthony to keep. This is the 13 guys that came before him, in order:<\/p>\n

But as he has already proven quite capable of, Anthony rose to the occasion. It likely won’t be the last time he does that.<\/p>\n
