Nico Hoerner has become the heart and soul of this Cubs team, a terrific player offensively and defensively and a great human being as well. Presuming this deal begins after this year \u2014 as PCA\u2019s extension does \u2014 that would make 14 seasons in a Cubs uniform for Nico, one of the longest Cubs careers for anyone in franchise history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">This article will be updated when there\u2019s more information about the terms of this contract, but I wanted to get the news out to you right now. We don\u2019t know about any possible incentives or deferred money, but from Passan\u2019s report, it doesn\u2019t sound like there are any.
