There is no denying the Red Sox are absolutely in a rut. Boston is riding a five-game losing streak and sits four games under .500 at 27-31.<\/p>\n
Despite the struggles, manager Alex Cora claims he isn\u2019t \u201cfeeling the pressure in terms of job security<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cNo, not really,\u201d Cora said Thursday in\u00a0his weekly appearance on the WEEI<\/a>\u00a0afternoon show, transcribed by Tom Carroll. \u201cYou know, from my end, you know? I actually don\u2019t ask coaches about that, you know? I just ask them to do their best on a daily basis. But I can answer that question personally \u2014 no.\u201d<\/p>\n Ironically, the Red Sox have been in a lot of their games. In fact, the Sox are 6-15 in one-run games, including two against the Milwaukee Brewers this week. <\/p>\n \u201cYou know, I feel like every day we go out there, we\u2019re doing our best, you know? It hasn\u2019t happened for us,\u201d Cora said. \u201cYou know, you look at the season and having conversations with some people this morning, it\u2019s like, \u2018Man, it\u2019s a weird one, right?\u2019 Because it feels like you are in every game, but it\u2019s not going your way.
