Griffey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/golf\/story\/_\/id\/44624679\/masters-2025-ken-griffey-jr-photography-augusta-national\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">made headlines<\/a> last spring for some of the photos he took while shooting the famed tournament at\u00a0Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>The documentary premiers next Sunday, April 5, at 10 a.m. on NBC and Peacock. It comes out the week of the 2026 Masters, which is April 9-12.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI get some doors opened because of who I am, but I take what I do very seriously,\u201d Griffey said in <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheMasters\/status\/2036135457990603191\" rel=\"nofollow\">a recent trailer<\/a> for the documentary.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The Kid behind the lens.<\/p>\n<p>Photographer No. 24 premieres April 5 on NBC. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/V8Qi2CmR1l\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/V8Qi2CmR1l<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Masters (@TheMasters) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheMasters\/status\/2036135457990603191?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">March 23, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Griffey, who spent 13 seasons with the Mariners from 1989-99 and 2009-10, has photographed a number of other sporting events in addition to the Masters \u2013 including NFL, MLB and MLS games. Earlier this month, he was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/news\/ken-griffey-jr-photographer-world-baseball-classic-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">shooting the World Baseball Classic<\/a> for Getty.<\/p>\n<p>Griffey isn\u2019t the only former Mariners star who has taken up photography. Hall of Fame pitcher Randy Johnson, who studied photojournalism at USC, is now <a href=\"https:\/\/rj51photos.com\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a professional photographer<\/a> whose work has been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sports.mynorthwest.com\/mlb\/seattle-mariners\/the-latest-on-mariners-shortstop-j-p-crawfords-il-stint\/1844027\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The latest on Seattle Mariners shortstop J.P.
