On Tuesday evening, the Seattle Mariners<\/a> will continue their series with the New York Yankees<\/a> (at home).<\/p>\n

They are coming off a 2-1 victory over the Yankees (on Monday).<\/p>\n

Before Tuesday\u2019s game, the Mariners announced that they had signed Colt Emerson to a contract extension.<\/p>\n

The Mariners wrote:<\/a> \u201cWe\u2019ve signed INF Colt Emerson to a contract extension through the 2033 season, with a club option for 2034.\u201d<\/p>\n

As part of the release, the team also announced<\/a> that they had designated Ryan Loutos<\/a> for assignment (h\/t MLB Trade Rumors<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Loutos\u2019 MLB career\"\"<\/p>\n

Loutos has spent part of two seasons in the MLB<\/a> playing for the Washington Nationals, St. Louis Cardinals<\/a> and Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He is coming off a year where he appeared in 12 games.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old never appeared in a regular season game for Seattle (he had been acquired over the offseason).<\/p>\n

Daniel Kramer of MLB.com wrote (on November 6, 2025):<\/a> \u201cMariners roster move: They\u2019ve claimed right-hander Ryan Loutos off waivers from the Nationals and added him to their 40-man roster, which is now at 38 players.\u201d<\/p>\n
