Fans who want to watch the games are in luck as we will break down all of the myriad ways to watch the team both with and without cable.

With streaming becoming more dominant and more and more people cutting the cord, it is more confusing than ever trying to figure out what channel or what streaming service the Giants are on any given day.

The Giants had their first game of the regular season broadcast exclusively on Netflix. Thankfully, that’s the last Netflix game of the season (and hopefully forever) but you may need other subscriptions throughout the year to watch every Giants game.

Let’s break down all of the various options for how to watch the team.

How to watch SF Giants games with cable in 2026

If you have cable and live in the Bay Area, you should be able to get access to NBC Sports Bay Area if it is included in your cable package which broadcasts most Giants games. You’ll be able to listen to the home broadcast crew of Mike Krukow, Duane Kuiper, Jon Miller, Dave Flemming and others like Hunter Pence who and Javier Lopez who call some games for the team.

If you have cable, you should also get nationally broadcast Giants game. Last Saturday’s game against the New York Yankees was broadcast nationally on FOX so any other games on the big networks like FOX, NBC, or ABC/ESPN should come in your standard cable package. The Giants will take on the Chicago Cubs in a game broadcast simultaneously on ESPN and ABC on June 14. NBC now has the rights to Sunday Night Baseball so the Giants will be on that channel multiple times throughout the season including on June 7 against the Chicago Cubs, August 23 against the Boston Red Sox, and September 7 against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Some games will also be broadcast on MLB Network and FS1 which are two channels that come with certain cable packages. TBS is another channel that could broadcast Giants games this season although there are none scheduled in its first slate of games for the year.

However, cable users should read on as cable will not get you access to every game this season.

How to watch SF Giants games without cable in 2026

If you do not have cable but live in the Bay Area, you are still able to stream Giants games through GIANTS.TV. This partnership between the Giants and NBC Sports Bay Area allows in-market fans to stream games for $119.99 per season or $19.99 monthly.

As for out-of-market fans, like yours truly, you are able to watch Giants games through MLB.TV. You can buy a package directly from MLB.TV or through ESPN and the package is $149.99 per year and gives you access to every single out-of-market game, including Giants games. That means maybe some nights you can watch the Giants win and then flip it over to the Los Angeles Dodgers game and cheer for them to lose, i.e. a perfect night for Giants fans.

Of course, it get’s a little complicated (and expensive) to watch Giants games that are available to stream through various streaming platforms. Fans who do not have cable can still watch the Giants when they are on ESPN but would have to purchase ESPN Unlimited which gives you access to stream every ESPN network for $29.99 per month or $299.99 annually.

That means you may have to fork over $30 just to watch the Giants play the Cubs in June. $30 pay-per-view for a mid-June Giants vs. Cubs game? Yikes. Personally, I will probably just listen to that one on the radio as an MLB.TV subscription also gives you access to the team’s radio broadcasts so you can stream the KNBR radio feed of the game.

To watch the Giants games that are on NBC for cable-users, you will need a Peacock subscription. And for cable users, some games are only going to be on Peacock and will not be on NBC. That includes a September 13 matchup between the Giants and Padres.

However, do not forget about Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV. If you do not have an Apple TV subscription, you can buy a bundle package that gets you both Peacock and Apple TV for $14.99 per month. The Giants will be on Friday Night Baseball on April 10 versus the Baltimore Orioles and that game will not be on cable so you will need some sort of Apple TV subscription to watch it.

Well, is your mind spinning as much as mine? It costs a lot of time, money, and effort to watch your favorite baseball team these days. It’s a shame it’s so convoluted and complex but such is our modern world. Happy streaming or…cableing?

Of course, if you’d rather not fork over all of that money then you can always just read us at Around the Foghorn as we will be covering all of the ups and downs the Giants experience this season.

[2408
5,162,4,378,66,4343,4340,4344,4341,4342
0":"post-655642","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-francisco-giants","8":"tag-baseball","9":"tag-giants","10":"tag-mlb","11":"tag-san-francisco","12":"tag-san-francisco-giants","13":"tag-sanfrancisco","14":"tag-sanfranciscogiants","15":"tag-sf","16":"tag-sf-giants","17":"tag-sfgiants
["GET
