The loss highlighted some ongoing concerns about the White Sox pitching and defense, areas that have left much to be desired through the first five games of the rebuild-focused season. Luisangel Acuna failed to hit the cutoff man multiple times from centerfield, and a few opportunities to tag base runners out were missed throughout the ballgame. <\/p>\n
The Sox bullpen also failed to keep the game within striking distance for the offense, leading to another loss that felt more in the lifeless category than the competitive one. <\/p>\n
