LOUIS &#8212; \u2014 Ram\u00f3n Ur\u00edas launched his first home run with St. Louis and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/4109034\/andre-pallante\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Andre Pallante<\/a> combined with four relievers on a three-hitter as the Cardinals defeated the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/nym\/new-york-mets\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New York Mets<\/a> 3-0 on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>              Iv\u00e1n Herrera had a two-run double in the third inning, and Ur\u00edas drove Richard Lovelady\u2019s second pitch over the left-center wall in the seventh.<\/p>\n<p>              Pallante (1-0) pitched five-plus innings, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out three.<\/p>\n<p>              He was lifted for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/5123582\/gordon-graceffo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gordon Graceffo<\/a> in the sixth after giving up a double to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/36969\/juan-soto\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Juan Soto<\/a> and a walk to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/38904\/bo-bichette\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bo Bichette<\/a> to start the inning. Graceffo, recalled from Triple-A Memphis before the game, got <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/39631\/luis-robert-jr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Luis Robert Jr<\/a>. to fly to center and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/41575\/jared-young\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jared Young<\/a> to line into a 6-3 double play.<\/p>\n<p>              <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/33301\/ryne-stanek\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ryne Stanek<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/40456\/jojo-romero\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JoJo Romero<\/a> each worked an inning before Riley O\u2019Brien pitched a perfect ninth for his first save this season.<\/p>\n<p>              <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/4941056\/jj-wetherholt\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JJ Wetherholt<\/a> had two hits and scored a run. The rookie has reached safely in each of his first five major league games.<\/p>\n<p>              <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/4142421\/kodai-senga\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kodai Senga<\/a> allowed two runs and four hits over six innings in an encouraging outing for New York. Senga (0-1) struck out nine, including the side in the second and sixth. He walked three.<\/p>\n<p>              Soto had a pair of hits and has reached safely in all 40 career games against St. Louis.
