Nolan Stefaniak<\/a> and Kyle Casteel<\/a> might be selected in the MLB draft<\/a> this summer. They might not.<\/p>\n The Butler seniors, both pitchers, have spoken to professional scouts, but neither seems to be in a hurry to etch what\u2019s next in stone.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s the best place you wanna be to worry about if you\u2019re gonna get drafted or go to college,\u201d said Casteel, who\u2019s committed to West Virginia. \u201cPeople dream to go to college and people dream to get drafted. … At times, I get a little nervous whenever I\u2019m going to throw a pitch and (I see) a bunch of radars up there. He posted a 1.43 ERA in 39 innings of work last season and pledged to play at Penn State before the pros came knocking.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s awesome to have these scouts, just talking to them and just obviously talking baseball,\u201d Stefaniak said. \u201cAnd just realize that a dream could come true. I\u2019m still in high school. I\u2019m not there yet. I could still go to college.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s no lose-lose. It\u2019s all just win-win, no matter what.\u201d<\/p>\n Casteel describes the duo\u2019s synergy as being a \u201c1A and 1B\u201d situation. The two push each other every day and are zeroed in on winning a WPIAL Class 6A crown more than on what their futures hold.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just staying in command of everything,\u201d Stefaniak said of his own goal. \u201cThe velo\u2019s gone up a little bit, and I\u2019ve added a new pitch.
