It was also the 14th time in franchise history that the Blue Jays scored 11 runs over the first three innings.<\/p>\n<p>Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I really liked is not taking your foot off the gas after you score eight, and you continue to add on,\u201d Schneider said.<\/p>\n<p>Athletics starter Jacob Lopez (0-3) was chased after recording just five outs. He gave up six hits, a walk and seven earned runs.<\/p>\n<p>Bichette scored twice and drove in three runs. Clement and Alejandro Kirk had three hits apiece as Toronto pumped out 18 hits in all.<\/p>\n<p>Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios (2-2) was in full control over his six-inning appearance.
