The longtime Dodgers star will be a part of the ESPN telecast of the Jackie Robinson Day game against the New York Mets on April 15 at Dodger Stadium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Hershiser will join former Mets pitcher Ron Darling \u2014 who, like Hershiser, is a current television analyst for his former club \u2014 in the booth alongside Joe Buck calling play-by-play for ESPN, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.truebluela.com\/los-angeles-dodgers-television-media\/108240\/dodgers-mets-jackie-robinson-day-espn-tv\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">an exclusive telecast for the network<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cI can\u2019t wait to work with these two guys,\u201d Buck said in a statement. \u201cI loved watching them pitch and now really enjoy listening to them on the air. They\u2019re the best at what they do, and I\u2019ll be leaning on them a ton. To call a Dodgers game on Jackie Robinson Day makes it even more meaningful. There\u2019s no more important figure in baseball history, and to honor him that night in Dodger Stadium will be truly special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">April 15 is the first Dodgers game this season on ESPN.
