Schneider took second on the throw.<\/p>\n<p>What is going on with Cody Ponce?<\/p>\n<p data-async=\"\">Prior to first pitch, it was revealed Cody Ponce \u2014 whose return to a big-league mound for the first time in five years <a data-evt-val=\"{\" control_fields=\"\" link=\"\" marred=\"\" by=\"\" a=\"\" knee=\"\" injury=\"\" that=\"\" landed=\"\" the=\"\" righty=\"\" on=\"\" injured=\"\" list=\"\" data-evt=\"click\" data-evt-typ=\"click\" href=\"https:\/\/torontosun.com\/sports\/baseball\/toronto-blue-jays\/ponce-miss-significant-time-acl-sprain\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was marred by a knee injury that landed the righty on the 15-day injured list<\/a> \u2014 will visit Dr. Neal ElAttrache, a world-renowned orthopedic surgeon based at the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement 6<\/p>\n<p>This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n<p>Article content<\/p>\n<p>He specializes in sports medicine, knee, shoulder and elbow injuries and also serves as the team physician for the Dodgers and the NFL Rams.<\/p>\n<p>The bottom line is that no definitive diagnosis on Ponce\u2019s right knee has been determined, hence the visit to the L.A.-based specialist.
