When\u00a0Metropolitan State University of Denver\u00a0Computer Science major and\u00a0Pi Sigma Epsilon<\/a>\u00a0member\u00a0Nathan Allison<\/a>\u00a0volunteered\u00a0for the\u00a02025\u00a0Colorado Rockies 50\/50 Raffle<\/a>,\u00a0he\u00a0viewed it simply as\u00a0a way to raise\u00a0money\u00a0for his fraternity.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cEach \u2018yes\u2019\u00a0fueled a new kind of motivation,\u201d\u00a0said\u00a0Allison, one of the season\u2019s top sellers.\u00a0\u201cIt became a personal challenge\u00a0to push myself for a cause I believed in.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

This year\u00a0marks the ninth season\u00a0the\u00a0MSU Denver\u00a0Alumni Association\u00a0has partnered\u00a0with the\u00a0team\u00a0and the\u00a0Colorado Rockies Foundation<\/a>\u00a0for the\u00a0Colorado Rockies 50\/50 Raffle<\/a>.\u00a0As in years past,\u00a0one lucky winner\u00a0will\u00a0take\u00a0half of the jackpot, with the\u00a0remainder\u00a0split between\u00a0the Rockies Foundation and the Alumni Association.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

With the 2026 baseball season in full swing, the\u00a0Alumni\u00a0Association is\u00a0seeking volunteers<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0assist\u00a0with\u00a0the 50\/50 Raffle at\u00a0all Rockies home games.\u00a0Volunteers will\u00a0earn $100 per\u00a0shift\u00a0worked\u00a0to\u00a0be designated to an MSU Denver program, club or scholarship.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

During the 2025 season, 875 volunteers raised a total of $149,000. Thanks to Allison and 53 other volunteers, Pi Sigma Epsilon\u00a0took\u00a0the top student group\u00a0spot, raising $5,750 to help members attend the PSE National Convention and strengthen community service efforts.\u00a0Another top earner,\u00a0Roadrunners Cross Country\/Track & Field, raised $14,500, providing funding for uniforms, travel and more.\u00a0When\u00a0combined with the\u00a0previous\u00a0seven seasons, over 6,000 volunteers have raised\u00a0nearly $1 million.\u00a0You\u00a0can help us reach this milestone!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Support student success at MSU Denver by\u00a0registering\u00a0to volunteer<\/a>\u00a0for the 50\/50 Raffle\u00a0today\u00a0and\/or\u00a0purchasing\u00a0raffle tickets at Coors Field or\u00a0online<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0raise\u00a0money for\u00a0University\u00a0programs,\u00a0clubs\u00a0and scholarships.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What volunteers can expect:\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before game day\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

All volunteers need credentials to\u00a0assist\u00a0with the 50\/50 Raffle at Coors Field. There are cutoff dates for credential processing, so\u202fsign up for the dates<\/a>\u202fyou want as far ahead as possible.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

When you\u202fregister to volunteer<\/a>\u202ffor a home game at Coors Field, a credential will be available at the employee entrance before your first shift. Credentials are valid for the 2026\u00a0season.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

On game day\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

A\u00a0four-hour time commitment.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

Selling 50\/50 tickets to Rockies fans throughout the stadium.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

A game ticket is not\u00a0required\u00a0for volunteers; parking costs $1.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
