On Wednesday afternoon, the Boston Red Sox<\/a> will play the Houston Astros<\/a> in Texas.<\/p>\n

The Red Sox are coming off a 9-2 loss to the Astros (on Tuesday night).<\/p>\n

They will look to avoid getting swept on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

So far, the Red Sox have been without Triston Casas<\/a> to start the season.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, manager Alex Cora revealed that Casas has suffered a setback.<\/p>\n

Tim Healey of The Boston Globe wrote:<\/a> \u201cTriston Casas has a setback in the form of sore ribs, Alex Cora said, so he is \u201cshut down for a while \u2026 we have to slow it down.\u201d\u201d<\/p>\n

Casas is coming off a season where he appeared in 29 games.<\/p>\n

He batted .182 with three home runs, 11 RBI\u2019s and five runs.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old was picked 26th in the 2018 MLB<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

He has spent all four years of his MLB career with the Red Sox.<\/p>\n

During the 2023 season, Casas showed a lot of promise when he batted .263 with 24 home runs, 65 RBI\u2019s and 66 runs.<\/p>\n
