Pratt won&#8217;t turn 22 until August and has<a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/mlb\/milwaukee-brewers\/news\/brewers-finalize-50-million-extension-no-4-triple-prospect\/32776c44d7f110e7efaa5ee2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> just three games under his belt <\/a>at Triple-A. The top prospect in baseball, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/mlb\/pittsburgh-pirates\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pittsburgh Pirates<\/a> shortstop Konnor Griffin, could be next.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, could it be the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/mlb\/cincinnati-reds\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cincinnati Reds<\/a>&#8216; turn for an extension? First baseman Sal Stewart is open-minded to the idea of agreeing to a long-term deal, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cincinnati.com\/story\/sports\/mlb\/reds\/2026\/04\/01\/is-cincinnati-reds-rookie-sal-stewart-contract-extension-im-definitely-open\/89418735007\/?gnt-cfr=1&amp;gca-cat=p&amp;gca-uir=false&amp;gca-epti=z115645p119350l004450c119350u002142e1144xxv115645&amp;gca-ft=43&amp;gca-ds=sophi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Gordon Wittenmyer of the Cincinnati Enquirer<\/a> reported on Thursday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>MORE:\u00a0<a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/mlb\/kansas-city-royals\/news\/terrance-gore-son-honors-dad-perfect-first-pitch-royals-home-opener\/0d6f0212372e3fa358873a70\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Terrance Gore&#8217;s son honors dad with perfect first pitch<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m definitely open to it,&#8221; Stewart told Wittenmyer. &#8220;I&#8217;m open to it because they took a chance on me when I was young, and I want to do it for this city. This city means a lot to me, and they&#8217;ve become my family.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Stewart&#8217;s defense is still a work in progress, but he&#8217;s <a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/mlb\/cincinnati-reds\/news\/reds-sal-stewart-sets-mlb-record-dating-back-1900\/da1ca786b2a139023d1f0ef3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">done nothing but hit<\/a> since making his debut in 2025.
