Los Angeles Dodgers fans may have to alter their schedule if they want to watch their team in action on Friday.<\/p>\n
The game, the first in the series against the Washington Nationals, has first pitch set for 10:05 a.m. Pacific Time.<\/p>\n
The game is so early, as a matter of fact, that it\u2019s the first Major League Baseball game of the day.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, the Dodgers don\u2019t play on Thursday, so they\u2019ll have some time to adjust to the new time zone.<\/p>\n

Emmet Sheehan is expected to get the start Friday morning. The Nats are scheduled to start Miles Mikolas.<\/p>\n
This will be Sheehan\u2019s second start of the season. His first didn\u2019t go well.<\/p>\n
On March 27, the team\u2019s second game, Sheehan faced off against the Arizona Diamondbacks, throwing 3.1 innings.<\/p>\n
He gave up five hits and four runs, all of which were earned. He also walked two batters and struck out six.<\/p>\n
In that first start, the Dodgers\u2019 offense bailed Sheehan out in a 5-4 win. This time, though, could be different.<\/p>\n
How is the Dodgers\u2019 Offense in 2026?<\/p>\n
The story of the team so far this season is the lack of offensive production.<\/p>\n
In Wednesday\u2019s 4-1 loss to the Cleveland Guardians<\/a>, only center fielder Andy Pages was a true force at the plate, garnering three of the team\u2019s five total hits.<\/p>\n It continues a torrid pace for Pages<\/a>, who has nine hits so far this year. No other Dodger has more than five.<\/p>\n After a tough playoffs at the plate \u2014 and an especially poor 1-for-16 performance in the World Series<\/a> \u2014 Pages focused on his offense, and the results are showing.<\/p>\n Baseball Savant has Pages\u2019 wOBA<\/a> at .463, which is in the top 8% of the MLB.<\/p>\n Making that even more remarkable is that Pages has yet to walk this season.<\/p>\n Pages\u2019 improved offense complements his elite defense. Baseball Savant has him in the 90th percentile or better in all fielding categories, including arm strength in the 98th percentile.<\/p>\n Manager Dave Roberts said earlier this year that he\u2019s noticed a difference in Pages<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201c(This) is certainly a big confidence boost,\u201d Roberts said. \u201cComing into this spring, he was in great shape, and his mindset was in a good spot.
