This is your game day guide, not only for Opening Day but the balance of the season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Note one big change, in particular: 35th Street will be closed from 90 minutes prior to scheduled first pitch to approximately one hour after the last out of the game.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The White Sox have provided information specific to the home opener on April 3, ballpark arrival, parking, public transportation and rideshare resources.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Below is their full release. For future reference, we will pin it at the bottom of our home page for the entire season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">CHICAGO WHITE SOX 2026 SEASON ADVISORY<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Gameday Information for Fans Attending 2026 Home Opener and Regular-Season Games<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">CHICAGO \u2013 The Chicago White Sox provide\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/whitesox\/ballpark\/know-before-you-go\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Know Before You Go;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Know Before You Go&quot;}\" class=\"link \">Know Before You Go<\/a>\u201d\u00a0information and tips for an enjoyable experience at the ballpark this season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">White Sox Home Opener<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Thursday\u2019s scheduled 2026 home opener was postponed due to a forecast of inclement weather. The White Sox Opening Day at Rate Field has been rescheduled for\u00a0Friday, April 3 vs. Toronto Blue Jays at 1:10 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Fans will receive an Opening Day 2026 T-Shirt, presented by BMO (20,000 fans).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">On the day of the home opener, parking lots open\u00a0three hours\u00a0prior to first pitch (10 a.m.), and gates open\u00a0two hours\u00a0prior to first pitch (11:10 a.m.).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">All tickets for Thursday\u2019s postponed contest now are good for admission to Friday\u2019s rescheduled game at Rate Field. No exchanges are necessary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Plan ahead! Fans are encouraged to buy prepaid parking, arrive early and avoid the rush. Fans are encouraged to review the map of Rate Field for the best routes and most convenient gates for quick entry into the ballpark.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Arriving at Rate Field<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">New this season, 35th Street will be closed 90 minutes prior to scheduled first pitch until approximately one hour after the last out of the game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">With the exception of the home opener, gates to the ballpark will open\u00a090 minutes\u00a0prior to first pitch for the remaining home games.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">All White Sox tickets are mobile. Day-of-game parking is available on a first-come first-served basis and is not guaranteed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Transactions are conducted\u00a0inside official ballpark lots only. Official parking personnel will have CWS issued credentials and a CWS nametag. Do not provide payment to anyone outside of the parking lots on city streets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Parking lots open two hours before the start of every game (except for the home opener).\u00a0Fans holding mobile prepaid parking passes should display the passes prominently as they approach the parking lots.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Designated ADA parking is available in Premium Lot B and Lots C and E for cars displaying state-issued disability placards or license plates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Fans who require ADA drop-off will be allowed by ballpark personnel to drop off and\/or pick up in Lot C.\u00a0Fans can access this area by entering the parking lot loop at 33rd Street and Wells Street and notifying ballpark staff. Access to Lot C is located at 34th Street and Shields Ave.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Fans should visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/whitesox\/ballpark\/transportation\/parking\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:whitesox.com\/parking;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;whitesox.com\/parking&quot;}\" class=\"link \">whitesox.com\/parking<\/a>\u00a0for more information about parking and for directions to their designated parking lots.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Tailgating is permitted in parking lots. Fans who tailgate must set up in their respective parking space and avoid blocking pathways and traffic. Fans have the option to purchase reserved tailgating spaces in Lot E, which includes a dedicated tailgate space, early access and close proximity to gates. Visit<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/whitesox\/ballpark\/information\/tailgating\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:whitesox.com\/tailgating;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;whitesox.com\/tailgating&quot;}\" class=\"link \">whitesox.com\/tailgating<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Residents and fans must follow neighborhood parking restrictions surrounding the ballpark area, displaying the required parking permits, and adhering to other city regulations in effect on game days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Public Transportation\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Public transportation is highly recommended.\u00a0The CTA Red Line stops near the ballpark at the Sox-35th Street station, while the Green Line is just two blocks farther east at the 35th Street station.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A Metra stop at 35th Street is conveniently located just east of the Dan Ryan Expressway, along the Rock Island line.\u00a0For the most up-to-date game day service information, including weekend inbound train schedules to meet the various scheduled first pitch start times, check\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metra.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:metrarail.com;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;metrarail.com&quot;}\" class=\"link \">metrarail.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Rideshare Services<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Fans are encouraged to use a rideshare service to Rate Field.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Rideshare Lot is located in Lot A on the Wentworth Avenue side for pickup and drop-off.\u00a0The lot is open until one hour after the conclusion of the home games.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Additional Fan Information<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Rate Field is\u00a0cashless, including parking lots, retail shops and concessions stands. Fans who are holding cash and do not have credit cards can purchase White Sox gift cards\u00a0at the advance ticket windows.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Single-pocket clear tote bags (12\u201d x 12\u201d x 6\u201d or smaller), clutch purses (9\u2033 x 5\u2033 x 2\u2033 or smaller) and diaper bags when an infant is present are permitted in the ballpark.\u00a0No backpacks or other bags are allowed.\u00a0Fans with medical necessities (breast pumps, Insulin, epi-pens, oxygen and other medical devices) may bring those items into the ballpark and will be subject to search.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Once again this year, we are publishing the season advisory released by the White Sox.
