Taking to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Dendy posted an aerial photo of the Pirates\u2019 home PNC Park, where the MLB\u2019s top-ranked prospect is slated to play in his first big-league game Friday<\/a>, Pittsburgh\u2019s home opener against the Orioles.<\/p>\n \u201cTomorrow!!!!\u201d she captioned the post.<\/p>\n Konnor Griffin with his wife, Dendy. Dendy Griffin\/Instagram<\/p>\n The Orioles called up 19-year-old Griffin on Thursday, the same day it was reported that the club is finalizing a nine-year, $140 million contract<\/a> with the former first-round pick.<\/p>\n Should the pact be finalized, it would be the largest guarantee made to a player before their debut in the majors.<\/p>\n The Pirates enter Friday\u2019s game against the Orioles at 3-3.<\/p>\n Pittsburgh opened its season on the road last Thursday to an 11-7 shellacking by the Mets at Citi Field, where reigning NL Cy Young winner Paul Skenes last two-thirds of an inning and gave up five runs<\/a>.<\/p>\n Skenes, 23, will get a shot at redemption Saturday versus the Orioles.<\/p>\n Konnor Griffin married Dendy in January 2026 before spring training.
