The Friday afternoon Comerica Park home opener wasn\u2019t without St. Louis Cardinals highlights, though, as <a href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=1025X1734621&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mlb.com%2Fcardinals%2Fplayer%2Fjordan-walker-691023\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jordan Walker<\/a> fired a missile from right field in the bottom of the 3rd inning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=1025X1734621&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mlb.com%2Fcardinals%2Fplayer%2Fvictor-scott-ii-687363\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Victor Scott II<\/a> also made a great play in the bottom of the first and <a href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=1025X1734621&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mlb.com%2Fcardinals%2Fplayer%2Fjj-wetherholt-802139\" rel=\"sponsored nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JJ Wetherholt<\/a> made a diving grab in the bottom of the 8th after he entered the game as a DH later in the game. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcgremi01.shtml\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michael McGreevy<\/a> wasn\u2019t nearly as sharp as he was in his first start of the year as he allowed 7 hits and 3 runs through 4 2\/3 innings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">All of the offense came in the middle innings as the Detroit Tigers got on the board in the 4th inning when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/4345620\/dillon-dingler\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dillon Dingler<\/a> hit a 433 foot two run homer to left center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Riley Greene singled in another run in the 5th inning to give Detroit a 3-0 lead. Javy Baez added another RBI single in the bottom of the 6th inning to close out the scoring. The only St. Louis Cardinals hits came from Masyn Winn, Ivan Herrera, Alec Burleson, Thomas Saggese and Victor Scott II.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Friday\u2019s loss to Detroit gives St. Louis a 4-3 record for the still very early season.
