Both teams have struggled to start the season, with Boston going 1-5 on its road trip and San Diego going 2-4 on its homestand.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran right-hander Sonny Gray will start on the mound for the Red Sox. He&#8217;ll hope for better results than his Sox debut in Cincinnati, when he allowed three earned runs on six hits over four innings in a 6-5 defeat.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow righty Michael King will get the start for the Padres. He allowed just one hit across five scoreless innings in his season debut vs. the Detroit Tigers.<\/p>\n<p>Young star Roman Anthony will lead off for Boston as the designated hitter, with Jarren Duran batting third and playing left field.
