After a slow start to the 2026 season<\/a> for many Los Angeles Dodgers stars, it seems the issues have been resolved.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers (5-2) beat the Washington Nationals (3-4) by a score of 13-6, helped largely by five home runs and 16 hits.<\/p>\n

Who Homered for the Dodgers?<\/p>\n

Freddie Freeman was right. The Dodgers\u2019 bats were indeed \u201cinevitable.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Shohei Ohtani<\/a> and Kyle Tucker blasted their first homers of the season.<\/p>\n

Freeman and Mookie Betts added home runs as well, as did the hot-hitting Andy Pages<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pages, the team\u2019s best hitter this season ahead of the Washington series, continued to produce.<\/p>\n

So far this season, he\u2019s 12-for-25 with one walk against three strikeouts.<\/p>\n

Now, the other Dodgers are adding offensive production of their own, and they did it all in their new blue away uniforms.<\/a><\/p>\n

Emmet Sheehan got the start and the win, but he was helped greatly by his team\u2019s offense.<\/p>\n

Sheehan went 5.2 innings and gave up seven hits \u2014\u00a0including a home run \u2014 and four runs, all of them earned. He struck out two batters and walked three.<\/p>\n

Four other Dodgers pitchers \u2014\u00a0Jack Dreyer, Blake Treinen, Edgardo Henriquez and Ben Casparius \u2014 combined to allow four hits, two earned runs and two walks against three strikeouts.<\/p>\n

Those two runs were allowed by Henriquez in the bottom of the eighth inning, when the game was already well out of hand.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Next for the Dodgers?<\/p>\n

The Dodgers and Nationals face off again on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. Pacific Time.<\/p>\n

Tyler Glasnow will start for the Dodgers, while the Nationals are starting Jake Irvin.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers will also start outfielder Alex Call for the first time this weekend, though manager Dave Roberts has not yet decided about whether that will be Saturday and Sunday or only Sunday.<\/p>\n

That said, Call and infielder Santiago Espinal got a taste of action on Friday, perhaps setting up for more playing time for them this weekend.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers and Nationals will finish their three-game series on Sunday.<\/p>\n
