Milwaukee will start right-hander Chad Patrick<\/a>, who allowed one run in a 6-1 victory against Chicago last week, against Luinder Avila<\/a>. The 24-year-old was called up for a spot start with Michael Wacha<\/a> out with an illness. The first three losses came to the defending champion Dodgers<\/a>, and Thursday was likely just a speed bump. The Diamondbacks will send left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez<\/a> out to try to settle things down, and he allowed one run in a 3-2 loss to Los Angeles last weekend. Grant Holmes<\/a>, who allowed three runs in his first start, will be on the mound for the 5-2 Braves. The Astros have won five in a row, with a sweep of the Red Sox<\/a>, after opening with two losses to the Angels. They’re tied for the MLB lead in runs scored. The A’s might be glad to see Cristian Javier<\/a>, who allowed six runs in one of those losses to L.A. He’ll face Jeffrey Springs<\/a>, who allowed two runs in an extra-inning loss to Toronto last Saturday.
