On Friday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Pirates<\/a> are playing the Baltimore Orioles<\/a> (at home).<\/p>\n

The Pirates are playing their first home game of the season, and Konnor Griffin is also making his MLB<\/a> debut at 19.<\/p>\n

Griffin is coming off a strong minor league season where he batted<\/a> .333 with 21 home runs, 94 RBI\u2019s, 65 stolen bases and 117 runs.<\/p>\n

In addition to superstar pitcher Paul Skenes<\/a>, he has given the Pirates\u2019 fanbase a lot of energy.<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Buster Olney wrote (on April 2):<\/a> \u201cKonnor Griffin\u2019s deal with the Pirates: nine years, $140 million. They\u2019re still working on finalizing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Pirates came into the day with a 3-3 record in their first six games.<\/p>\n

Following their series with the Orioles, they will remain at home to host the San Diego Padres<\/a> (on April 6).<\/p>\n
