Instead, the teams will play a split doubleheader today at 1:10 and 6:10 p.m. CT.<\/p>\n
The Royals were slated to give right-hander Luinder Avila his first MLB start after he made 13 relief appearances last year. Now, Avila will pitch Game 1 of today\u2019s doubleheader and veteran right-hander Seth Lugo (1-0, 0.00) will handle Game 2.<\/p>\n
The Brewers would have pitched right-hander Chad Patrick on Friday. Patrick (0-0, 2.08) will get the nod for Game 1 and righty Brandon Sproat (0-0, 21.00) will take Game 2.<\/p>\n
Milwaukee won five of its first six games by averaging 7.5 runs per contest. This marks the Brewers\u2019 first road series of the season.<\/p>\n
