On Friday afternoon, the Boston Red Sox<\/a> will host the San Diego Padres<\/a> at Fenway Park.<\/p>\n

They are coming off a 6-4 loss to the Houston Astros<\/a> (in Texas).<\/p>\n

Before Friday\u2019s game, the Red Sox announced<\/a> a series of roster moves.<\/p>\n

One of those moves included calling up Tyler Uberstine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chris Cotillo of MassLive wrote:<\/a> \u201cRed Sox calling up Zack Kelly<\/a> and Tyler Uberstine today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Uberstine was picked in the 19th round of the 2021 MLB<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

He has yet to make his MLB debut.<\/p>\n

While Uberstine is a very positive story, the Red Sox are off to a slow start to the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

They come into the day as the last-place team in the American League East with a 1-5 record in six games.<\/p>\n
