On Friday evening, the New York Mets<\/a> beat the San Francisco Giants<\/a> (in California) by a score of 10-3.<\/p>\n

Despite the win, the more concerning news of the night was that Juan Soto<\/a> left in the first inning with an injury.<\/p>\n

The New York Mets wrote:<\/a> \u201cJuan Soto was removed from tonight\u2019s game with right calf tightness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesse Morse, M.D. sent out a post (via X) with his thoughts on the injury announcement from the Mets.<\/p>\n

Morse wrote:<\/a> \u201cJuan Soto is dealing with a calf injury. Best case scenario this is just mild tweak and not actually a strain. Might take 1-2 games off and be ok. If this is a true strain, then he will likely miss a couple weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Soto signed an enormous contract<\/a> with the Mets before the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

He is coming off his first year with the team where he hit 43 home runs.<\/p>\n

Abbey Mastracco of The New York Daily News wrote:<\/a> \u201cJuan Soto is having imaging done on his calf. The Mets staff saw him pull up while going first-to-third and alerted the trainers. He went back with them right away. There is some concern, but the Mets are confident they can cover left field in the event he goes on the IL.\u201d<\/p>\n

Soto\u2019s Incredible MLB Career<\/p>\n

Soto broke into the MLB at the age of 19 with the Washington Nationals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He helped the franchise win the 2019 World Series Championship in just his second season.<\/p>\n

After five years in Washington, the four-time MLB All-Star then had quick stops with the San Diego Padres<\/a> and New York Yankees<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Soto helped the Yankees reach the World Series.<\/p>\n
