CLEVELAND \u2014 Fans heading downtown for the\u00a0Cleveland Guardians\u2019 2026 home opener at Progressive Field\u00a0<\/a>should be ready for a noticeable spike in parking prices.<\/p>\n

3News observed rates at several locations across Cleveland on Friday morning ahead of the highly anticipated matchup against the Chicago Cubs. Prices varied widely, with the highest reaching as much as $80.<\/p>\n

\nCity of Cleveland parking rules, restrictions <\/p>\n

The City of Cleveland also shared key information with 3News regarding parking restrictions and\u00a0special event pricing zones in effect for the home opener.<\/a><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re heading downtown, officials urge drivers to plan ahead and be aware of temporary no-parking zones.<\/p>\n

The following streets will have no-parking restrictions in place:<\/p>\n

\nSpecial event parking rates <\/p>\n

According to the city, Downtown Special Events Zones will be in effect for Guardians games and other large events moving forward.<\/p>\n

On-street parking in these zones will cost $8 per hourRates begin two hours before the eventPricing remains in effect through the end of the event or until 10 p.m., whichever comes first <\/p>\n
