The injury is holding him back.<\/p>\n<p>Soto himself shared an update, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SteveGelbs\/status\/2040562356619739518\" rel=\"nofollow\">posted this way on X by Steve Gelbs<\/a>\u00a0before Saturday night&#8217;s game:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Juan Soto says the MRI revealed a minor calf strain. He\u2019s not going on the IL yet, but the Mets will take it day by day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It seems like there&#8217;s still a chance the Mets put Soto on the IL, but it&#8217;s encouraging that it hasn&#8217;t happened thus far.<\/p>\n<p>The Mets originally announced Friday that Soto had been removed with &#8220;right calf tightness.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A popular social media doctor, Jesse Morse, chimed in with his take on the situation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Juan Soto is dealing with a calf injury,&#8221;\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DrJesseMorse\/status\/2040285436786958471\" rel=\"nofollow\">Morse wrote on X (formerly Twitter)<\/a>. &#8220;Best case scenario this is just mild tweak and not actually a strain. Might take 1-2 games off and be ok. If this is a true strain, then he will likely miss a couple weeks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Soto has begun the season well, going 11-for-31 for a .355 average with a home run and five RBI.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that after stealing 38 bases last year, Soto hasn&#8217;t gotten one yet this season.<\/p>\n<p>The Mets won&#8217;t be worried about that.
