On Friday, the Chicago Cubs<\/a> lost to the Cleveland Guardians<\/a> by a score of 4-1 in Ohio.<\/p>\n

The two teams will face off again on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

With the season well underway, it\u2019s worth noting that recent Cubs player Jon Berti<\/a> is still a free agent<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He is available to sign with any teams in the MLB<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jon Morosi of MLB Network wrote (on March 19):<\/a> \u201cFree agent INF\/OF Jon Berti is generating @MLB interest after posting a 1.132 OPS with Team Italy at the @WBCBaseball.<\/p>\n

Ten teams have checked in, given Berti\u2019s bat and versatility. He intends to sign with a contender that needs him to play multiple positions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Berti is coming off a season where he batted .210 with two RBI\u2019s, 12 runs and 11 stolen bases in 51 games for the Cubs.<\/p>\n

He is currently 36.<\/p>\n

His longest stint came with Miami (2018-23).<\/p>\n
