Make your\u00a0DraftKings<\/a>\u00a0MLB DFS picks here:\u00a0MLB $200K Knuckleball [$50K to 1st<\/a>]<\/p>\n PITCHER<\/p>\n Stud<\/p>\n Joe Ryan, Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers, $8,200 \u2014 The 4.82 ERA through 9.1 innings looks bad. The five earned runs allowed in 4.0 innings during the last start is even worse. The matchup against the Tigers isn\u2019t great either, as Detroit is ninth in wRC+ and eighth in wOBA. That said Detroit is 13th in strikeout rate and Ryan has a 25.6% strikeout rate, below the career-27.6% mark. It\u2019s early in the season and Ryan has been extremely unlucky. The FIP is 2.01 while the BABIP is .385. In the start that he allowed five earned runs, the BABIP was .563! This game is at home for Ryan, where the strikeout rate has been higher, the FIP has been lower and fewer home runs have been served up.<\/p>\n Value<\/p>\n Jose Soriano, Los Angeles Angels vs. Atlanta Braves, $7,200 \u2014 Soriano has gotten off to a hot start, posting two wins, going six innings in each and allowing only four hits without an earned run. He has walked six batters, though, and Soriano has been fortunate with a .143 BABIP, but the FIP is still 2.85. The 98.3 mph fastball doesn\u2019t miss a ton of bats and the strikeout rate is 24.4%, but he\u2019s allowing a 0.1 degree launch angle and 3.6% barrel rate due to the splitter and sinker. Atlanta is one of the top offenses in the league, but Soriano is pitching very well right now and does an excellent job of limiting the long ball. The price is nice as well.<\/p>\n OUTFIELD<\/p>\n Stud<\/p>\n Yordan Alvarez, Houston Astros at Colorado Rockies, $6,500 \u2014 Prior to Sunday\u2019s game, Alvarez was slashing .423\/.590\/.885 with a .462 ISO! L. O. L. The walk rate was 25.6% while the strikeout rate was only 10.3%. Then he hit another home run and drew another walk on Sunday. Now he gets to play in Coors Field. Humana humana. Ryan Feltner has a career 18.8% strikeout rate and 4.59 FIP against left-handed batters. <\/p>\n Value<\/p>\n Dylan Beavers, Baltimore Orioles at Chicago White Sox, $2,400 \u2014 Beavers has a three-game hitting streak with a home run. He\u2019s been batting fifth or sixth in the order and is slashing .318\/.318\/.500 on the season with a .182 ISO. The average exit velocity is only 86.7 mph, though, with a 5.6% barrel rate. He does have a 96th percentile sprint speed, though, so there are multiple paths to providing fantasy goodies. Erick Fedde has a career 1.45 HR\/9, 15.9% strikeout rate and 5.18 FIP against left-handed batters. Beavers seems too cheap.<\/p>\n INFIELD<\/p>\n Stud<\/p>\n Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers at Toronto Blue Jays, $6,400 \u2014 Selecting the best player in baseball. Shocking\u2026Ohtani has gotten off to a slow start, but finally belted his first home run of the season two games ago. More are coming. A lot more. Max Scherzer is still a great pitcher at 41 years old, but he has been prone to the long ball over the last three seasons. Last season, the HR\/9 was 2.01. He allowed one in the season opener.<\/p>\n Value<\/p>\n Hyeseong Kim, Los Angeles Dodgers at Toronto Blue Jays, $2,000 \u2014 With Mookie Betts injured, Kim was called up from Triple-A, where he was slashing .346\/.438\/.385 in 32 plate appearances. Kim doesn\u2019t have much power but has speed and is an excellent defender. It\u2019s likely that he starts.
