ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU SO MUCH, MARY ELLEN. ALL NEW THIS MORNING. LOWER SWATARA TOWNSHIP POLICE IN DAUPHIN COUNTY ARE SEARCHING FOR THIS MAN WHO THEY SAY SHOT INTO A HOME AND LIT IT ON FIRE. OFFICERS SAY THEY WERE CALLED TO OAK LANE JUST AFTER FIVE LAST NIGHT FOR A SHOOTING AND FIRE. THEY SAY WHEN THEY GOT THERE, THE FIRE HAD ALREADY BEEN PUT OUT BY A NEIGHBOR, BUT POLICE RELEASED THIS VIDEO OF A MAN PARKING HIS CAR AND GETTING OUT A GAS CAN. THAT’S WHEN OFFICERS SAY HE WENT UP TO THE HOME, SHOT INTO IT MULTIPLE TIMES AND POURED GAS ON IT BEFORE LIGHTING A FIRE. POLICE SAY MULTIPLE PEOPLE WERE INSIDE THE HOME, INCLUDING SMALL CHILDREN, BUT NO ONE WAS HURT. NORTHERN YORK COUNTY REGIONAL POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING AFTER THEY SAY A DRIVER HIT A TEENAGER ON A BICYCLE. POLICE SAY THE BICYCLIST RODE INTO THE INTERSECTION AT PERSIMMON AND MURPHY DRIVE IN MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP WITHOUT STOPPING, AND WAS HIT BY A 16 YEAR OLD GIRL DRIVING SOUTH ON PERSIMMON DRIVE. THEY SAY THE 13 YEAR OLD BOY WAS THROWN FROM THE BICYCLE. OFFICERS SAY HE WAS SERIOUSLY HIT AND HURT AND TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. THEY SAY THE DRIVER OF THE CAR WAS NOT HURT AND SHE STAYED AT THE SCENE. POLICE IN BERKS COUNTY SAY TWO FIREFIGHTERS WERE KILLED IN A CRASH WHILE SEARCHING FOR A MISSING WOMAN. FLEETWOOD POLICE SAY THE FIREFIGHTERS WERE DRIVING A U-T-V, ALSO KNOWN AS A SIDE BY SIDE ON THE SHOULDER OF ROUTE 222. WHEN THEY SAY A CAR IN THE SOUTHBOUND LANE SWERVED AND HIT THE VEHICLE HEAD ON. OFFICERS SAY A MAN AND WOMAN WERE IN THE CAR WHEN THE CRASH HAPPENED, AND THEY WERE LATER ARRESTED ON CROSS ROAD IN RICHMOND TOWNSHIP. AND WE’RE LOOKING LIVE NOW AT SAINT PETER’S SQUARE IN THE VATICAN, WHERE EASTER MASS IS WRAPPING UP. POPE LEO ENDED HIS HOMILY JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE THAN 15 MINUTES AGO. YESTERDAY, THE FIRST AMERICAN POPE HELD HIS FIRST EASTER VIGIL SERVICE. HE CALLED FOR PEACE AS WARS IN THE MIDDLE EAST CONTINUE AND A WHITE HOUSE EASTER TRADITION WAS COMMEMORATED IN THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. THE EISENHOWER NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE IN GETTYSBURG HOSTED AN EASTER EGG ROLL OF ITS OWN TO HONOR THE ORIGINAL EISENHOWER EASTER EGG ROLL. AFTER A HIATUS DURING WORLD WAR 2 IN 1953, DWIGHT AND MAMIE EISENHOWER BROUGHT THE EASTER EGG ROLL BACK TO THE SOUTH LAWN OF THE WHITE HOUSE. IN ADDITION TO THE ROLE IN DECORATING WOODEN EGGS, FAMILIES WERE ABLE TO TOUR THE EISENHOWER FAMILY HOME. ALL YOU CAN INK IN DAUPHIN COUNTY HOSTED ITS ANNUAL EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA AT THE NATIONAL CIVIL WAR MUSEUM. HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT. WE HAD OVER 300 KIDS REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT, SO WE HAD TO SEE THOSE KIDDOS RUN INTO THE FIELD AND JUST DASH FOR THOSE EGGS. THAT REALLY FILLED MY HEART AND THE REST OF MY TEAM. AND THAT’S REALLY WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT. ALL YOU CAN INK SAYS IT PROVIDES BASIC NEEDS AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES FOR AT-RISK FAMILIES. THIS WAS THE 13TH YEAR FOR THAT EVENT, AND MEMBERS OF THE RED KNIGHTS OF PA 15 MOTORCYCLE CLUB REVVED UP THEIR ENGINES TODAY TO BRING SOME CHEER TO CHILDREN. DELIVERED STUFFED BUNNIES TO CHILDREN SPENDING THE HOLIDAY IN THE HOSPITAL. NEWS EIGHT’S TAYLOR HAAS SHOWS US HOW THESE BIKERS ARE HOPPING INTO ACTION. IT’S THE ONLY COSTING ONE. THIS RIDE WAS YOU HAD TO BRING A NEW STUFFED EASTER ANIMAL TO GIVE TO A CHILD IN A HOSPITAL. ONE SIMPLE RULE THAT TURNS INTO HUNDREDS OF SMILES. THIS IS THEIR RIDE. THEIR BIKES. SHOW YOUR BUNNIES. YEAH. THIS IS. THIS IS THEIR RIDE. WITHOUT THEM, THIS RIDE DOESN’T OCCUR. WE REALLY HOPE THAT WE COME TO THE HOSPITALS AND WE DON’T SEE ANY KITS. BUT WHEN WE DO SEE THE KIDS, THEN WE LIKE TO. OUR MOTTO IS GIVE A CHILD A SMILE. FOR EASTER MOTORCYCLISTS COMING TOGETHER. FOR KIDS WHO WON’T GET A TRADITIONAL EASTER MORNING, THEY’RE NOT ABLE TO BE OUT LOOKING FOR EASTER EGGS AND NOT LOOKING FOR EASTER BASKETS AND ENJOY THAT TIME AT HOME WITH FAMILY. SO THESE RIDERS BRING EASTER TO THEM. ON OUR FOURTH YEAR, WE WERE DELIVERING TO THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE AND THIS LITTLE BOY, SEVEN YEARS OLD. HIS NAME WAS JOHN, AND JOHN LOST HIS EYESIGHT WHEN HE WAS FOUR YEARS OLD. SO WE SAT HIM ON A BENCH AND I SAID, WOULD YOU LIKE TO SIT ON THE EASTER BUNNY’S LAP? AND HE WOULD. SO HE SAT HIM DOWN AND THIS GUY NEVER SAID A WORD. AND JOHN SAYS, ARE YOU THE REAL EASTER BUNNY? AND MY FRIEND SAYS, I AM JOHN. I’M PETER COTTONTAIL AND THE EASTER BUNNY CAN TALK A LITTLE BOY THEY’LL NEVER FORGET. THE NEXT YEAR WE WERE HOPING NOT TO SEE JOHN AND THAT HE’D BE HOME WITH HIS PARENTS AND HIS BROTHERS AND SISTERS. UNFORTUNATELY, WHEN WE CAME THE NEXT YEAR, THEY CAME OUT AND TOLD US THAT JOHN DIDN’T MAKE IT. AND FROM THAT POINT ON WE SAID THIS. THIS IS WHAT WE’RE DOING. THAT’S WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT. YEARS LATER, JEFF WHITEHEAD JOINED IN BEFORE THE CAUSE HIT CLOSE TO HOME IN 2020. SO AND I HAVE A GRANDSON WHO IS SIX THIS MONTH WHO’S A CANCER SURVIVOR. SO. CANCER IN KIDS IS PERSONAL FOR ME, AND I’M GLAD THAT WE CAN AT LEAST TOUCH THEM A LITTLE BIT TO ENCOURAGE THEM. A REMINDER OF WHY HE TAKES THIS RIDE. HE WAS HE WAS BORN WITH LIVER CANCER. HE HAD BEFORE HE WAS ONE. HE HAD EIGHT ROUNDS OF CHEMOTHERAPY AND MAJOR SURGERY, BUT HIS DAD HELD HIM UP TO RING THE BELL. HE COULDN’T EVEN WALK YET. SO YEAH. AND THROUGH IT, THE POWER OF A STUFFED ANIMAL SHINES THROUGH, GIVING HAPPINESS IN THE TOUGHEST OF TIMES. LOOK IT UP ON FACEBOOK. LOOK UP THE BUNNY RUN AND COME NEXT YEAR, BLESS A CHILD. OR DONATE A STUFFED ANIMAL, RIGHT? WELL, YOU CAN DONATE A STUFFED ANIMAL AND NOT EVEN GO ON A RIDE IF YOU’RE SO INCLINED. YES. YEAH. IN LANCASTER. TAYLOR HAS WGAL NEWS 8. THANKS, TAYLOR. RAPID TRANSIT AND RED ROSE TRANSIT WILL NOT HAVE BUS SERVICE TODAY BECAUSE OF EASTER SUNDAY. LEBANON TRANSIT NEVER HAS SUNDAY SERVICE, BUT ALL THREE SAY SERVICE WILL BE BACK TO NORMAL TOMORROW. AND ANOTHER TRADITION THIS TIME OF YEAR, THE TROUT FISHING DERBY AT KIWANIS LAKE IN YORK COUNTY. IT’S AN EVENT FOR CHILDREN 15 AND YOUNGER FOR THE START OF TROUT SEASON IN PENNSYLVANIA. THAT KICKED OFF YESTERDAY, AND THE TROPHY WAS AWARDED FOR THE LARGEST FISH CAUGHT. I’VE BEEN CATCHING TROUT AND I GOT ABOUT A 5 POUND CARP AND HAVING A LOT OF FUN BEATS SITTING IN FRONT OF THE TV. THE FISHING DERBY IS HOSTED IN HONOR OF WILLIAM SCHAEFER, WHO LIVED IN YORK COUNTY AND WANTED TO TEACH CITY KIDS A RECREATIONAL HOBBY THEY COULD CARRY THROUGHOUT THEIR LIFE. HIS EFFORTS EVENTUALLY EVOLVED INTO WHAT THE ANNUAL TROUT FISHING DERBY IS TODAY. HERSHEY ENTERTAINMENT AND RESORTS SAYS IT IS AWARE OF AN INCIDENT AT ZOO AMERICA INVOLVING A YOUNG CHILD AND A WOLF. A SPOKESPERSON SAYS AN UNSUPERVISED 18 MONTH OLD CHILD PUT HIS HAND THROUGH THE FENCE SURROUNDING THE WOLF HABITAT. THEY SAY A WOLF DID APPROACH AND MAKE CONTACT WITH THE CHILD’S HAND. THE CHILD WAS NEVER INSIDE THE WOLF ENCLOSURE AND HAD MINOR INJURIES, THE ZOO SAYS. THIS IS NATURAL ANIMAL BEHAVIOR AND IS NOT A SIGN OF AGGRESSION, THE COMPANY REMINDS GUESTS TO STAY WITHIN DESIGNATED AREAS AND CLOSELY SUPERVISE CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES. THIS COMES AS DERRY TOWNSHIP POLICE IN DAUPHIN COUNTY SAY THREE PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED AFTER MULTIPLE FIGHTS DURING OPENING DAY AT HERSHEY PARK. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS VIDEO THAT A VIEWER SENT US. YOU CAN SEE OFFICERS RESTRAINING SOMEONE ON THE GROUND NEAR THE STORM RUNNER ROLLER COASTER. POLICE SAY TWO JUVENILES AND AN ADULT WERE ARRESTED FOLLOWING MULTIPLE FIGHTS JUST BEFORE SEVEN FRIDAY NIGHT. OFFICERS SAY NOBODY WAS HURT.
