KANSAS CITY, Mo. \u2014 Milwaukee Brewers phenom Jacob Misiorowski, a Grain Valley native<\/a>, got to spend some time back home with the Kansas City Royals hosting the Brewers this weekend.<\/p>\n

His childhood home is only 20 minutes away from The K, and he\u2019s loved the support he\u2019s gotten from his family in the KC area.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get to go back home and sleep in my own bed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really cool, it\u2019s crazy, they\u2019re awesome. My family\u2019s always been there to support me, basically, Grain Valley\u2019s there supporting me, so it\u2019s really fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

While he didn\u2019t get the chance to start at Kauffman Stadium this series, the three games did provide the 24-year-old a chance for reflection. \u201cThe Miz\u201d fondly remembers games at The K growing up, and even remembers some plays from big games.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember Salvy hit the base hit down the line to get us out of the Wild Card. Those games will always be up there in my memory, just as unreal moments that I got to experience, and going to a parade was another thing that was unreal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Misiorowski went from watching the Royals as a kid to sharing the field with them in MLB with the Brewers as Milwaukee\u2019s ace. Joining the Brew Crew in June of 2025, he won four of his first five starts and was named an All-Star.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s already off to a good start this season, too, with 18 strikeouts in his first two outings.<\/p>\n

He told FOX4 that his family will be at The K during Sunday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really cool, really cool coming in, especially coming back to the home town, and, you know, not being able to play, but still being able to be in the dugout and experience it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

So, it\u2019s a welcome back for the Grain Valley legend who remembers the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was nice to have a field like that, and it\u2019s come a long ways from the mounds that we had back then, but it\u2019s awesome to go back and see,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEspecially going to like, card shops, down there, everyone\u2019s like, \u2018Holy cow, you\u2019re actually here. Why are you still here?\u2019 So, it\u2019s cool.\u201d<\/p>\n
