Shelbi Leija added a double and a home run with a game-high five RBI.<\/p>\n<p>Also for Wauseon, Bella McGuire singled twice with a triple and an RBI, while Josie Russell (2-1B), Lila Schindler (2B) and Adalyn Elling each drove in a pair of runs.<\/p>\n<p>Breah Teal picked up the win, allowing three runs on six hits with two walks and two strikeouts across five innings.<\/p>\n<p>Wauseon, which improved to 5-1, hosts Fairview today.<\/p>\n<p>NORTHWOOD \u2014 Swanton swatted 19 hits and matched that with 19 walks in scoring at least eight runs in three separate innings en route to a 30-3 shellacking of Northwood in nonleague softball action Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Alexa Faber had a 4-for-4 effort at the plate, tallying a single and three doubles with a pair of walks and three RBI to lead the Bulldogs, who remained perfect at 7-0 overall.<\/p>\n<p>Carli LaGrange added three hits, including a double, with two walks and two RBI, while Lacey Shinaver (1B, 2B, 2-BB, 3 RBI), Jordyn Ramirez (1B, 2B, BB, 4 RBI) and Adriana Elliott (2-1B, RBI) each had two hits.<\/p>\n<p>Also for Swanton, Gabbie Orner singled with two walks and four RBI, while Beyla Remer walked in four of her five plate appearances.<\/p>\n<p>Remer earned the win, allowing one run on two hits with zero walks and two strikeouts in two innings. Josalyn Kahl allowed one hit and one walk with three strikeouts in two scoreless innings of relief.<\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs return to action today at home against Springfield, which is a continuation of a rain-shortened game from Mar. 26. The game is currently in the third inning.<\/p>\n<p>METAMORA \u2014 Evergreen conceded a quick two runs in the top of the first inning of Monday\u2019s nonleague softball game.<\/p>\n<p>But the Lady Vikings responded with three runs in the bottom half of the frame, eventually scoring in all four innings at the plate en route to a 17-5 five-inning win over Emmanuel Christian at Evergreen High School.<\/p>\n<p>Avah Vaculik steadied Evergreen\u2019s lineup from the leadoff spot, going 4 for 4 with three doubles, a home run and four RBI. Sydney Bull and Maya Vance each had three hits and a pair of RBI, with both players finishing just a home run short of the cycle.<\/p>\n<p>Also for the Lady Vikings, who had an eight-run third inning and finished with 21 hits, Leah McVey had three hits, including two doubles, with two RBI. Megan Clancy (1B, 2B) and Riley Studenka (2-1B, RBI) each had two hits, while Marlee Brubaker singled and knocked in two runs.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Paulson picked up the win in the circle, allowing five runs \u2014 three earned \u2014 on nine hits with zero walks and eight strikeouts across five innings.<\/p>\n<p>Evergreen, which improved to 3-1, returns to the field today at home against Hilltop.<\/p>\n<p>FAYETTE \u2014 Pettisville nabbed its first win of the season Monday, using an 11-run sixth inning to defeat host Fayette 18-3 in a nonleague game.<\/p>\n<p>Macy Hoylman helped guide the Blackbirds, as she doubled with two RBI and four runs scored at the plate. She tossed the complete game in the circle, allowing three runs \u2014 all unearned \u2014 on three hits with one walk and eight strikeouts in six innings.<\/p>\n<p>Naomi Richer added a double, a triple and a game-high five RBI for Pettisville, while Ali Genter (2 RBI) and Bailey Booth (1 RBI) both singled three times.<\/p>\n<p>Fayette was led by Sophia McClain, who singled with a pair of RBI.<\/p>\n<p>Pettisville (1-2) hosts Ayersville today, while the Eagles hosts Stryker Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>WEST UNITY \u2014 Liberty Center struggled at the plate Monday, tallying just one hit and falling 10-0 to Hilltop in five innings at Hilltop High School.<\/p>\n<p>Aubree Zeiter, who was the only LC starter not to strikeout, singled for the Lady Tigers\u2019 lone hit.<\/p>\n<p>Mackenzie Fuller pitched a scoreless inning of relief, allowing one hit with two strikeouts.<\/p>\n<p>LC, now 0-4 overall, is back in action at Holgate today.<\/p>\n<p>HICKSVILLE \u2014 Patrick Henry attempted to rally with a pair of runs in the sixth inning, but did not overcome Hicksville in a 7-2 nonleague loss Monday at Hicksville High School.<\/p>\n<p>Elise Wyandt and Brooke Scherdt led the Lady Patriots with two hits apiece. Both players had a single and a double, while Scherdt added an RBI.
