April 7 is a crucial day in the history of the franchise. It’s the date on which the Blue Jays played their first ever game.<\/p>\n

It was 1977, and it was snowing.<\/p>\n

They delayed the game for a while, but eventually the Blue Jays took the field against the Chicago White Sox<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And yes, they won. It was a 9-5 triumph for Toronto.<\/p>\n

Doug Ault homered twice for the Blue Jays, the best day of an MLB career that only saw him hit 17 total home runs. Two came on this historic day for Toronto.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays also got a pinch-hit home run from Al Woods.<\/p>\n
