Leading up to the game, the organization received crucial injury updates for two of its key players.<\/p>\n<p>Outfielder <a href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/tag\/jackson-chourio\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jackson Chourio<\/a>, who is 22 years old, is <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AdamMcCalvy\/status\/2041577984176357867\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">receiving a follow-up imaging<\/a> on his fractured hand and is still estimated to return by mid- or late-April, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. Additionally, first baseman Andrew Vaugn has a follow-up with doctors on Thursday regarding his hand injury. An estimated return for Vaugn was not provided.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA few more Brewers injury notes,\u201d said McCalvy. \u201cJackson Chourio has follow-up imaging on Thursday for his fractured hand. Still estimating mid- to late-April return. Andrew Vaughn also has a follow-up Thursday with his hand surgeon. Hopefully will get clearance to progress to next step.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/mlb\/milwaukee-brewers\/brewers-news-milwaukee-jackson-chourio-move-opening-day\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chourio was placed on the 10-day IL<\/a> on Opening Day. He suffered the injury while playing for Team Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic. The Brewers will be glad to have him back in the lineup, as the former top prospect recorded a .270 batting average and .308 OBP while totaling 148 hits, 21 home runs, 78 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases last season.<\/p>\n<p>As for Vaughn, the 28-year-old slugger suffered a broken hamate bone in his left hand on Opening Day. The <a href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/mlb\/milwaukee-brewers\/brewers-news-andrew-vaughn-hand-injury-early-season\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brewers were forced to place him<\/a> on the 10-day IL. While his timetable for return was not revealed in the latest update, due to the timing of the injury, he could return by late-May, early-June.<\/p>\n<p>Vaughn played 64 games with the Brewers last season after being traded by the Chicago White Sox.
