The Los Angeles Dodgers <\/a>made a late change to the lineup against the Toronto Blue Jays, removing Miguel Rojas from the lineup.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers added Hyeseong Kim to the lineup <\/a>at shortstop hours after announcing Rojas at the spot.<\/p>\n

Manager Dave Roberts noted that he would be playing Rojas against right-handed pitchers, which made it no surprise that he ended up on the team.<\/p>\n

Rojas was removed from the lineup to tend to a \u201cfamily matter,\u201d the Dodgers organization announced.<\/p>\n

Rojas has played in six games during the start of the season, totaling 20 plate appearances and 19 at-bats, along with five hits and a double.<\/p>\n

He is slashing .263\/.250\/.316, doing quite well on the whole, Rojas is valued at 0.0 fWAR, with a 0.7 defensive rating, according to FanGraphs.<\/p>\n

As a defender, Rojas is one of the best in MLB, making good plays even at his advanced age. He can line up all over the infield and potentially serve as a corner outfielder if needed.<\/p>\n

His bat delivered in a clutch moment against the Toronto Blue Jays during Game 7 of the World Series<\/a>, which will never be forgotten.<\/p>\n

2026 will be Rojas\u2019 final season as an MLB player, marking the end of a long playing journey, and while he will not play every day, Roberts can count on him to be a culture-setter for the Dodgers and help the team in any way possible.<\/p>\n

Rojas\u2019 World Series moment has an effect on his managerial job<\/p>\n

During his final season, Rojas hopes to take in as much as possible as a player and apply it down the line as a coach, either as a manager or in another post-playing role.<\/p>\n

His World Series moment, however, will serve as a potential launchpad for Rojas\u2019 profile, according to Roberts.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Miggy, obviously, the track record of a player, the knowledge of the game, the love of the game, and then now you put the cherry on top with a huge moment in the World Series, I think it rounds out his resume,\u201d Roberts said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019ll manage in the big leagues. Interestingly enough, I think that moment that he had will actually help not just the hiring process, I think it\u2019ll more importantly help the day-to-day role as a manager.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou performed in a big moment and you can relate to coming off the bench and being there and being a champion. I think the players respect that.\u201d<\/p>\n
