Mauricio, appearing in his first game of the season, fell behind 0-2 before driving a 107.1 mph pitch for his first career walk-off hit. The Mets extended their winning streak to four games, improving to 7-4 overall and 3-1 at home, while Arizona dropped to 5-6 and remained winless on the road.<\/p>\n
Freddy Peralta allowed three runs over 4.2 innings, scattering three hits and five strikeouts but issuing three walks and hitting a batter. Arizona capitalized in the fifth with a two-run single followed by an RBI double to take a 3-2 lead. The Mets had built an early advantage on Brett Baty\u2019s sacrifice fly in the first and Lindor\u2019s run-scoring double in the second.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
New York tied the game in the eighth when Jared Young delivered a sacrifice fly with runners on the corners. The bullpen took over from there, combining for 5.0 scoreless innings. Luis Garcia, Brooks Raley, Devin Williams, and Luke Weaver limited Arizona to four hits while striking out five to send the game to extras.<\/p>\n
Lindor finished 2-for-5, while Jorge Polanco added two hits as the Mets set up Mauricio\u2019s decisive swing.<\/p>\n
