KOOSKIA \u2014 Clearwater Valley High School senior Barak Meyer, son of Jim and Elizabeth Meyer, is Ram of the Week for his work as a pitcher on the CV baseball team.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough eight games this season he\u2019s batting .368 with two doubles, two triples and a home run. As a pitcher, he\u2019s thrown 9.1 innings and leads the team with 22 strikeouts,\u201d wrote head coach Josh Bradley.<\/p>\n
Baseball is Meyer\u2019s only sport, and when he is not pitching, he plays first base. Meyer enjoys spending time with the team, going to away games, and the connection to the community through baseball.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s fun to go out there and represent your community,\u201d said Meyer.<\/p>\n
Recently, the team hosted its fifth annual Southfork Slugfest.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe second day, I didn\u2019t hit the best, but I pitched really good. I had 11 strikeouts in 4.2 innings,\u201d said Meyer.<\/p>\n
His goal this season is to win state, ending his senior season on a high note. For support, Meyer\u2019s dad and his sister, Margaret, are his top supporters, along with the community.<\/p>\n
