All offseason, Brewers coaches and players talk about how nobody on the outside gives them a chance and expects them to fall off. Well, to their credit, they continue to trade away good players, like Durbin, and maintain success.

Durbin was a part of that culture last season, but now that he is in an opposing clubhouse, he realizes that the Brewers are not underdogs. The entire league sees them as a threat and treats them as such.

“Everyone knows the way the Brewers play,” Durbin said, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Curt Hogg, “especially after the run they had last year. But I think there’s more attention from other teams for the Brewers than maybe (is) perceived.”

‘They’re not shocking anyone this year. Whether we did or not last year, I was on the inside at the time. Now I’m on the outside and nobody’s taking these guys lightly, I’ll tell you that much.”

The Brewers have created this identity of a scrappy team that just finds a way to win. However, they are much more than that. Murphy has his guys convinced that nobody expects them to win because they don’t spend big and trade stars. However, in reality, they have no shortage of talent.

Most of their talent just does not make big money like other teams’ stars. Christian Yelich is still a phenomenal player. Brice Turang has a case to be the best second baseman in baseball. William Contreras is an All-Star and one of the best catchers in the game. They have an All-Star closer. Their bullpen is loaded with talented arms like Abner Uribe and Aaron Ashby. They also have a very good rotation.

Durbin was on the inside last year, but now that he is with the Red Sox, he said what everyone has been thinking for over a year. The Brewers may not spend big, but no team in the league is counting them out, as their manager would like his players to believe.

More MLB: Garrett Crochet Thinks Red Sox Fans Are Calling Out Players With ‘Sell The Team’ Chants

The Milwaukee Brewers traded Caleb Durbin to the Boston Red Sox this offseason, and Durbin told the truth…

[2401
5,136,843,59,4280,4
0":"post-670437","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-milwaukee-brewers","8":"tag-baseball","9":"tag-brewers","10":"tag-milwaukee","11":"tag-milwaukee-brewers","12":"tag-milwaukeebrewers","13":"tag-mlb
["GET
