TORONTO\u2014Entering his start today in the series final against the Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar is streaking both on the mound and in the batter\u2019s box.<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old extended his league-leading active on-base streak to 42 games on Tuesday, reaching safely in all three of his plate appearances with a single and two walks against the Toronto Blue Jays.<\/p>\n
On the mound, meanwhile, Ohtani delivered six scoreless innings in his first start of the 2026 season, setting himself up to push that run even further in Wednesday\u2019s series finale. Counting his final outings from last year, Ohtani now carries a 22.2-inning scoreless streak as a pitcher \u2014 also the longest active stretch in baseball.<\/p>\n
