In his first start in the field as a Mariner on Wednesday, Refnsyder took a run away from the Texas Rangers with a home-run robbery in right field to keep the game scoreless in the third inning.<\/p>\n
Texas second baseman Josh Smith drove a first-pitch fastball from Bryan Woo deep into the right field corner to leadoff the third. Refsnyder tracked the ball down and made a leaping catch while colliding with the wall. You can see the play in the video below.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
It was probably a pretty good feeling for the Mariners to be on the right side of a home-run robbery in right field. On Saturday against the Angels, right fielder Jo Adell robbed the M\u2019s of three homers to help Los Angeles win 1-0, which is believed to be a single-game MLB record<\/a>.<\/p>\n In Refsnyder\u2019s six previous appearances with the M\u2019s this season, he had played just two innings in the field. That came in Monday night\u2019s 2-1 loss after he came in to pinch-hit for Luke Raley in the top of the seventh inning.<\/p>\n The 35-year-old Refnsnyder was still in search of his first hit as a Mariner when he robbed the home run Wednesday.
