The most famous and holiest Chicago White Sox fan in the world will be honored this summer by his favorite baseball team with a unique giveaway.<\/p>\n

During their Aug. 11 game against the Cincinnati Reds, as part of a special ticket package fans will be able to get a limited edition White Sox Pope hat, in honor of Robert Prevost, better known as Pope Leo XIV<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Not only will fans who buy specific tickets get the Pope hat,<\/a> they’ll also be part of the “Pews at the Ballpark” and sit in a designated section with their fellow Popes.<\/p>\n

Pope Leo hasn\u2019t been shy about showing off his fandom<\/a> since becoming the leader of the Catholic Church a year ago. He wore a White Sox hat for his weekly general audience at the Vatican<\/a> and later trolled a Chicago Cubs fan following the team\u2019s elimination<\/a> in the 2025 NLDS.<\/p>\n

Shortly after he became Pope, video emerged of him in attendance for Game 1 of the 2005 World Series<\/a>, which the White Sox won. The team installed a visual tribute<\/a> last May near the section of his seat.<\/p>\n

In November, future White Sox owner Justin Ishbia met with Pope Leo<\/a> and invited him to throw out the first pitch before a game.
