Game 7 of the World Series in 2025 was one of the best games we’ve ever seen. The Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> and Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> battled it out at a very high level. If that 9th inning was played over many times, there’s a very good chance that the Blue Jays would be World Series champions about nine out of 10 times.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays were the better team for eight innings, but the star-studded Dodgers came back and did what they had to do.<\/p>\n

However, it took a massive home run from Miguel Rojas, a guy who doesn’t have any juice, to tie the game in the 9th.<\/p>\n

Naturally, despite the Dodgers being the best team in baseball and understanding that they should be winning the World Series every season, almost losing put them in a position where they had to feel like they were going to lose the game. According to players on the roster, that’s exactly how they felt.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think everybody in the world thought that [we were gonna lose], so I\u2019d be lying if I didn\u2019t,\u201d Mookie Betts said<\/a> to the NY Post. \u201cI mean, obviously, you don\u2019t wanna have those bad thoughts. But I mean, who doesn\u2019t have that thought in that situation?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t really lie, saying that I wasn\u2019t worried,\u201d Rojas said. \u201cBeing down 3\u20130 in a World Series game, where you know it\u2019s all hands on deck from their bullpen \u2026 you\u2019re kind of wondering, like, \u2018Hey, is this gonna be it?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

It’s very common for players to be open about things like that after it happens. In the moment, the Blue Jays and Dodgers probably felt confident about getting the job done in a sense, but it has to be in the back of everybody’s mind that they could either blow the game or be a World Series hero. Unfortunately for the Blue Jays, that ended with the Dodgers shocking the baseball world in the ninth inning and finding a way to win the game.<\/p>\n
