It looks like the leaks that we saw a few weeks ago were indeed accurate, as the Baltimore Orioles (and seven other teams) unveiled their second edition City Connect uniforms today, and they match what we saw on social media last month.<\/p>\n

From the stoop to The Yard, these threads are Baltimore born. <\/p>\n

First off, HUGE props to the Orioles for getting none other than Fancy Clancy himself to narrate the drop video. Perfect touch!<\/p>\n

Billed as \u201cFrom the Stoop to the Yard,\u201d these new versions are a far cry from the City Connect 1.0s that the team has worn since 2023. No more all black with block letters, no more hidden colors underneath (which then had to be sown folded up eventually), no more boring BALTIMORE across the chest.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Instead, we now have \u201cBMORE,\u201d a color scheme of cream and green to represent Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and far fewer puzzles to try to decipher. Perched atop the BMORE is the 1998-2008 \u201cLifelike Bird.\u201d That\u2019s really the only part of these I dislike, as those 90s Birds represent nothing but misery in my mind.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a Eutaw Street home run patch on the sleeve, which we of course absolutely LOVE here at Eutaw Street Report. The T.Rowe price patch on the other sleeve has undergone a color change, which begs the question of, why can\u2019t the BLUE one on the regular uniforms do the same?<\/p>\n

There\u2019s orange brick trim on the neck and sleeves, paying homage to The B&O Warehouse and the brick facade around the ballpark.<\/p>\n

A jocktag along the bottom of the jersey displays the old time clock that\u2019s sat atop the OPACY scoreboard since its inception, reading CHARM CITY and BAL.<\/p>\n

The caps have an orange B, which the club says \u201cis inspired by the Baltimore Baseball Club of the 1890s,\u201d and which is part of aisle seats at OPACY.<\/p>\n

For now though, I think these are an absolute hit. Like I said, the only thing I don\u2019t like is that damn 90\u2019s Misery Bird, but that\u2019s a me problem. I know the youths (a big target demo to spend money on these!) love those Birds, just as my generation fell in love with the old cartoon Birds before the team went back to the new version in 2012.<\/p>\n

The last City Connects grew on me; I had to kind of talk myself into them (though I did love the hat immediately). These are great from first blush.<\/p>\n
