The New York Mets traded Brandon Nimmo last offseason. However, Franciso Lindor cleared the air on reports of a rift between the two.<\/p>\n

The New York Mets<\/a> have played 14 games this season, and are 7-7. After a hot start, the Mets have now lost three in a row after being shut out by the Athletics, and have scored just three runs in their last 27 innings.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s too much baseball left to be played, but with Juan Soto on the Injured List and a reeling Mets offense, you don\u2019t want trendy things like a stagnant offense to continue. The Juan Soto loss is obviously huge, but Francisco Lindor has struggled out of the gates, and people across the baseball world, including Mets fans, of course, are noticing.<\/p>\n

Francisco Lindor Has Struggled to Start the 2026 Season<\/p>\n

Francisco Lindor broke his hamate bone a couple of weeks before the season, which is a known injury that has limited a hitter\u2019s ability to return with their previous power until the bone is fully healed.<\/p>\n

Lindor may have rushed the injury a bit to be ready for the Mets\u2019 Opening Day.<\/p>\n

So far, Francisco Lindor has just nine hits on the season, no runs batted in, and no home runs.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s certainly a development to watch, but again, it\u2019s early in the season.<\/p>\n

That reason, however, has not stopped a rash reaction on social media.<\/p>\n

Something the Mets fans do need to realize is the team is pretty beat up right now. Clay Holmes had to be removed from his start on Friday, Juan Soto is on the shelf, and Jorge Polanco is dealing with some lingering problems.<\/p>\n

It can\u2019t be used as any sort of excuse, but those developments have led to some inexperienced players being utilized in unfamiliar spots.\n<\/p>\n
