LOS ANGELES, CA\u2014As the Los Angeles Dodgers prepare for Game Two of a three-game weekend series against the Texas Rangers, they\u2019ll do so without a certain pitcher on their 40-man roster, as recently claimed right-hander Grant Holman was claimed off waivers by the Detroit Tigers.<\/p>\n
The move was announced via the Tigers\u2019 Personnel Relations account on social media.<\/p>\n
The Tigers today claimed RHP Grant Holman off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers. Holman has been optioned to the FCL. To make room on the 40-man roster, INF Trey Sweeney has been transferred to the 60-day injured list.<\/p>\n
\u2014 Tigers PR (@DetroitTigersPR) April 11, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n Holman, 25, was claimed late last month<\/a> as the Dodgers transferred right-hander Gavin Stone to the 60-day injured list as he works his way back from right shoulder troubles.<\/p>\n Before joining the Dodgers organization, Holman was DFA\u2019d by the Arizona Diamondbacks, who acquired him from the Athletics.<\/p>\n The right-hander debuted in MLB with Oakland in 2024 and also appeared in a career-high 22 games for the team last season.
