It\u2019s not every day a franchise joins an exclusive stat club.\u00a0<\/p>\n
That said, the Warriors<\/a>, Athletics<\/a>, Detroit Pistons and Florida Panthers now find themselves in an exclusive club together.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Panthers this week joined those three other teams as the fourth MLB\/NBA\/NHL\/NFL team to clinch its third straight Championship Round appearance after not having done so once in any of the 25 seasons prior (h\/t Greg Harvey<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n MLB\/NBA\/NFL\/NHL franchises all-time to make the Championship Round in 3+ straight seasons after not making it in any of the prior 25 seasons: <\/p>\n Florida Panthers (2023-25) \u2014 Greg Harvey (@BetweenTheNums) May 29, 2025<\/a> <\/p>\n The Panthers are back in the Stanley Cup Final<\/a> for a third straight season after a 4-1 series win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday.<\/p>\n Looking to secure back-to-back Stanley Cups, Florida is the first (2023-25) franchise to accomplish the feat since the Warriors (2015-19).\u00a0<\/p>\n Prior to Golden State\u2019s historic five consecutive NBA Finals appearances<\/a>, the Pistons, spearheaded by Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame guard Isiah Thomas, made three consecutive Finals appearances.<\/p>\n The Athletics, on the other hand, were the first North American franchise to accomplish the feat (1972-74).\u00a0<\/p>\n It\u2019s growing, but the Panthers joined a truly exclusive stat club.<\/p>\n Download and follow the Dubs Talk Podcast<\/a><\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t
