Welcome to Baseball America\u2019s debut ranking of the top 50 college players in the 2028 MLB Draft class.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While it will be years before teams begin bearing down on 2028-eligible players, we already have half a season\u2019s worth of information available to start lining up the class\u2014in addition to all the prep work we did on this group as members of last year\u2019s 2025 high school class.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Texas A&M third baseman Nico Partida<\/a> claims the No. 1 spot thanks to a loud combination of offensive production, physical tools and an exciting defensive profile at the hot corner. Unlike the 2026 and 2027 classes, Partida isn\u2019t in a tier of his own at the top\u2014he has simply made the best case to lead the class at this point.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tennessee lefthander Cam Appenzeller<\/a>, TCU shortstop Lucas Franco<\/a>, Mississippi State outfielder Jacob Parker<\/a> and Vanderbilt righthander Wyatt Nadeau<\/a> aren\u2019t far behind to round out the top five.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mississippi State leads all programs with three players ranked in the top 50. Lefthanders Maddox Miller<\/a> and Jack Bauer<\/a> join Parker to give the Bulldogs three players inside the top 20. Six programs have two players ranked in the top 50: Oklahoma, Oregon, TCU, Texas, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.\u00a0<\/p>\n
