On Sunday, the Milwaukee Brewers<\/a> played the Washington Nationals<\/a> for the final game of their series in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

The Brewers lost by a score of 8-6 (and got swept).<\/p>\n

However, the more significant concern was that Christian Yelich<\/a> left the game with an injury.<\/p>\n

He finished the day with no hits in two at-bats.<\/p>\n

Following the game, manager Pat Murphy met with the media (h\/t Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Murphy: \u201cWe\u2019re most likely gonna get some bad news on Yelich\u2026 We\u2019re getting an image right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yelich\u2019s MLB Career<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old was the 23rd pick in the 2010 MLB<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

He spent the first five years of his career playing for the Miami Marlins<\/a>, batting .290 in 643 games.<\/p>\n

Yelich was then traded to the Brewers in 2018.<\/p>\n

He is in his ninth year playing for the franchise, making three All-Star Games (and winning the 2018 MVP) in that span.<\/p>\n

Over 1,630 career games, Yelich is batting .285 with 234 home runs, 861 RBI\u2019s, 1,043 runs and 224 stolen bases.<\/p>\n

Looking At The Brewers<\/p>\n

With their loss on Sunday, the Brewers dropped to 8-7 in 15 games, which has them as the third-place team in the National League Central.<\/p>\n

They are 3-3 in the six games they have played on the road.<\/p>\n

Following the Nationals, the Brewers will play their next series on Tuesday when they return home to host the Toronto Blue Jays<\/a>.<\/p>\n
