Although it\u2019s far too early to start thinking about notable MLB<\/a> trades, it\u2019s not too early to notice trends among contending teams. For the Philadelphia Phillies<\/a>, their concerning trend is the lack of production from infielders Alec Bohm and Bryson Stott. The Phillies don\u2019t exactly fit the bill of a \u2018struggling team\u2019 even though they\u2019re off to a bit of a slow start. Philadelphia will welcome back Zack Wheeler to the rotation shortly, and some of the team\u2019s top bats are starting to come alive. However, what would a trade for Paredes look like? He\u2019s off to a bit of a slow start for his standards this season, but that means this is a great opportunity for Philadelphia to buy low on him, and then enjoy the positive regression once he heats up. He\u2019s tied to a one-year, $9.35 million contract.<\/p>\n Perhaps Paredes\u2019 best season came in 2023 with the Tampa Bay Rays<\/a>, where he hit 31 home runs over 143 games played, and posted a bWAR of 4.2.<\/p>\n It\u2019s definitely a trade that Dave Dombrowski should consider, or at least inquire about, as the summer months approach. If the Astros don\u2019t turn things around, they will be a featured team that many think will be sellers at the MLB trade deadline.<\/p>\n
